NEWS RELEASE: Player Move Up Bylaw UPDATE
Posted on Tuesday, December 02 @ 10:09:57 CST by nsa

NSA UPDATE We know there has been a lot of talk on the new By Law that was passed on players moving up. Well, after lots of thought, we know everyone likes the By Law, but to be fair to all teams, this By Law will not go into effect until 2010! This way teams get use to the rule and it is fair to all players that play up.

By Law as is written right now will remain in the rulebook for 2009. The 2009 By Law will read as follows: No player (s) can drop more than one classification from one (1) calendar year 2008 to the next 2009. (The NSA calendar year is from January 1st to December 31st). EXCEPTION: Players from a Mandatory Move Up team CAN NOT move down in classification.

NOTE: Beginning in 2010 the By Law will be Players from a Move Up team (Mandatory or with Appeal) CAN NOT move down in classification. We are also working on revising the present move up rules for 2010 season.
