NSA Hall of Fame: Sonja Ritche (2013)

Sonja Ritchie joined the NSA National Office Staff in 2001. Sonja’s first responsibilities included tracking team and umpire registrations and working with the team to build the NSA – BPA Web Based Online System.
In 2002 Sonja was appointed as the Kentucky NSA Women’s Program Director and in 2003 Sonja was appointed as the Kentucky NSA Adult and Fast Pitch Assistance State Director.
In 2011 Sonja was appointed as the NSA Southern Zone VP which covered 7 states.
Sonja’s many accomplishments and leadership have been recognized and rewarded with awards from both the Northern Zone and the National Office.
Northern Zone Awards:
2002 Northern Zone 110% Award
2005 – Northern Zone Slow Pitch State Director of the Year and State Director Improvement
2013 – Chuck Middleton 110% Award from the Northern Zone
National Awards:
2003 NSA 110% Award and State Improvement Award
2006 – State Team Registration Improvement and State Director of the Year
2007 – State Director of the Year
2010 – World Series Participation Award
For her knowledge and dedication to the sport, Sonja was selected to serve on the Adult Advisory Board, the Super World Series Committee and the NSA – BPA Hall of Fame Committee.
On November 13, 2013, Sonja Ritchie was inducted into the NSA Sports Hall of Fame as the 2nd person in the Executive Director category.
