The National Softball Association announced today that Mike Hagy (Hall of Fame ’21) has been appointed to a new position with NSA as the Director of Slow Pitch Operations.
This role will have Mike working directly with CEO Bill Horton and Vice President Kathie Horton and the national office. He will be coordinating and helping directors and Slow Pitch teams throughout the entire country, with new slow pitch ideas, programs, Player Point Committee (PPC), back-end website help and recruiting new directors.
“We are very excited to have Mike as part of our national management team,” Bill Horton said in a statement this morning. “His passion for this sport is huge and will help us strengthen our slow pitch program throughout the nation.”
Hagy, who was inducted into the National Softball Association Hall of Fame as a Director in 2021, spent 13 years as the Indiana Assistant State Director before stepping down this year to focus on his role as the Executive Director of the CCAC in Warsaw, Indiana.
“I’m excited for this opportunity that Bill and Kathie have asked of me,” Hagy said this morning. “I look forward to working with our great state directors – I cannot wait to get started.”
The NSA has been serving slowpitch and fastpitch teams of all ages for over 40 years.
