NSA Hall of Fame: Barry Rhoads (2020)

Barry Rhoads began his umpiring career with NSA over 24 years ago in the state of Massachusetts.  Barry shows an incredible understanding of the sport, a clear and accurate interpretation of the rules, and he has an exceptional on field management of the game.  His knowledge of the game and rules are what make Barry stand out amongst other umpires.

During his career with NSA, Barry has umpired many Girls Fast Pitch World Series tournaments in Jupiter, FL; Charlotte, NC / Rock Hill, SC; Chattanooga, TN; Columbus, OH along with the Girl’s Super World Series tournament held in East Peoria, IL and three 23U World Series tournaments in Leominster, MA.  In all of his years of umpiring with NSA, Barry has never ejected a coach or a player out of a game.

Barry also works college ball in all three division – MIAA, NCAA and NPF and is still dedicated to NSA and gives 100% of his time.

On November 7, 2021 Barry Rhoads was inducted into the NSA Sports Hall of Fame in the Umpire Category as a member of the 2020 Class.
