NSA Hall of Fame: Bob Wesling (2009)

Bob Wesling coached a Girls Fast Pitch Team that participated in the very first NSA Girls Fast Pitch World Series held in St. Louis Missouri in 1987.  From 1987 to the time of this writing, Bob has taken a Girls Fast Pitch team to every NSA Youth Fast Pitch World Series Tournament.  In those 20 consecutive years, Bob’s teams never finished out of the top 10.  In 34 years as a coach of girls fast pitch softball, most of Bob’s St. Peters Royals players have been awarded college scholarships.  In 2008 because of Bob’s dedication to the St. Peters Royals past players, nearly 200 girls tried out for three teams (12-U, 14-U, 16-U) establishing Bob’s teams as one of the premier softball clubs in the Midwestern part of the United States.  In Bob’s coaching career his teams have accumulated a record of 1394 wins against 270 losses and 8 ties.

Bob is an Area Director for the NSA.  He conducts pitching and hitting clinics and private training sessions at his 10 acre facility which includes a regulation softball field adjacent to the building where he conducts his pitching and hitting seminars.

Along with 1394 wins, Bob’s teams have won the following:

  • 1 NSA Super World Series Championship
  • 2 NSA World Series Championships
  • 1 NSA World Series Runner – Up
  • 1 NSA World Series Fourth Place
  • 8 Consecutive NSA Missouri State Championships
  • Several NSA World Series 5th and 7th Place finishes

In November of 2009, Bob Wesling became the 5th Coach inducted into the NSA Sports Hall of Fame.
