Gene “Geno” Wermes began his career with NSA in 1993. Geno has been tagged as one of the finest umpires to come from the Lone Star State – Texas.
Geno’s list of accomplishments is an indication of his talent and love of the game of softball. From 1993 until 2000 Geno umpired an average of 700 games per year.

Geno traveled to 9 states outside of Texas to answer the call. Geno is well respected by players, coaches and directors from across the country due to his hustle, fairness and knowledge of the game.
On October 25, 2012 Gene “Geno” Wermes was inducted into the NSA Sports Hall of Fame.
