NSA Hall of Fame: Jason Sands (2018)

CATEGORY: Meritorious

YEAR INDUCTED: 2018

Many relate the name of Jason Sands to the NSA Girls Fast Pitch program; however, Jason began his association with the NSA as an umpire in 2004 and a year later Jason was hired by the South Shore Convention and Visitors Authority (SSCVA). Jason had the vision of forming the South Shore Sports Promotions, and that was where the NSA/BPA partnership with Jason got a huge boost in the sport. The first NSA Girls Fast Pitch World Series was held in NW Indiana with Jason leading that endeavor. 264 teams in 2007, 212 teams in 2009 and 242 teams in 2012 were treated to some of the finest events NSA has seen, with attention given to ensure the teams had quality fields to play on and also activities to enjoy while not on the diamonds.  Jason worked across 3 NW Indiana Counties to provide outstanding events.

In 2013 Jason became the Executive Director of Evansville Indiana Sports Corp and hosted the 2016 NSA GFP World Series with 221 team. In 2017 Jason took his talent to Fort Worth, TX as the Director of Sports for Fort Worth Sports.  Jason is committed to bring NSA and BPA events to the Fort Worth area and his past record indicates that anything Jason sets his sites on will be a success.

Jason Sands is a front runner in the market and thinks outside the box to provide life time memories for attendees.  NSA & BPA are very fortunate to have Jason Sands a part of our family and we look forward to the future in Texas.

Jason and his wife Crystal have 2 children Brooklyn and Avery.

On October 30, 2018, Jason Sands was inducted into the NSA Sports Hall of Fame in the Meritorious Category.
