2007 was the year that Jim Piercefield began his goal to revitalize the NSA fast-pitch program in Tennessee. This was accomplished by building the youth programs in local leagues and directing those league to begin playing tournaments. Since Jim began this, the number of teams playing NSA tourney ball has shown a growth every year. Jim had the privilege of being mentored by a fellow Hall of Fame inductee Mike Randolph, and he could not have had a better teacher.

Jim has made it his mission to run at least one event every year for a local charity, and these have been successful under his direction. These events have helped rebuild parks damaged from tornadoes, help find a cure for childhood cancer, Wounded Warriors, and donated to a $5,000.00 scholarship to the daughter of a deceased soldier.

In recognition of his dedication to his teams and the youth program, Jim was selected as the State Director of the Year for the Southern Zone in 2018, 2021 and 2022.

Jim and his wife Kelley have been married for 36 years and they have 3 children and 1 grandchild.  In his spare time Jim enjoys fishing and often does this in Alaska or Colorado when visiting his son and one of his daughters.

On November 8, 2023 Jim Piercefield became the 35th Director inducted into the NSA-BPA Sports Hall of Fame as a member of the Class of 2023.
