As of this writing in October of 2002, Jimmy Sutton is the only State Director that the state of South Carolina has ever had. Jimmy was appointed to that position in 1987 and led the state of South Carolina to be one of the most respected programs in the United States. For Jimmy’s efforts he’s been a three time State Director of the Year, winning the award in 1989, 1990 and 1995. Jimmy has been a tournament director of over a hundred State, National, Regional, World Series and Super World Series tournaments, as well as being an age group coordinator of a record breaking Youth Fastpitch World Series in Charlotte, NC & Rock Hill, SC. Jimmy’s genuine love of the game of softball and for people in general is the reason for Jimmy’s successful career.
Jimmy is a Lifetime member of the NSA Hall of Fame.
In November of 1999 Jimmy Sutton became the sixth Director inducted into the NSA Hall of Fame.
