CATEGORY: Director

  • 1999 Newcomer of the Year

Les Duncan has been involved in the game of softball for over 50 years, and his passion and love for the game gets stronger as the years pass.  Les began his storied career with the 16 inch game in the Chicago land area, hosting events with over 100 teams on a regular routine with the largest having 300+ teams.  Over the years Les’ passion evolved to include 12” slow pitch and BPA.  Les joined the NSA family in 1999 and brought with him a base of teams and umpires that have grown the NSA brand in northeast Illinois.

The name Les Duncan is well known beyond softball in areas such as volleyball, basketball, Pop Warner, Babe Ruth baseball, and also the leader of the South Suburban Umpire’s Association.  Les has been inducted into the Chicago 16” Hall of Fame (1998), Illinois NSA HOF (2009), South Suburban Officials HOF (2014), and in 2018 the Thornton Township High School HOF.

Les has 2 children Keith and Josh.

On October 30, 2018, Les Duncan was inducted into the NSA Sports Hall of Fame in the Director Category.
