CATEGORY: Meritorious

YEAR INDUCTED: 2024

AWARDS WON: 2023 Presidents Award

In 1996 TJ Jorgensen came on the scene with the National Softball Association as a player with the Street Kids Sofball team, and in 2005 he became a sponsor and coach of the Street Kids team. TJ then took Street Kids to a new level as the first public outreach program ran by an amateur non-collegiate sports team and his self-designed website attracted over 1 million visitors a year. This effort set the the tone for softball to enter the digital age.
The first direct contact that TJ had with NSA after his softball career ended was designing and building the Indiana NSA website. A short time later he met with Hugh and Faye Cantrell and joined the national office as the National Media Director. Among his first tasks was building the NSA national website and Facebook page which he worked to grow to currently over 80,000 followers. His company – TJ21 Media Group – has taken NSA/BPA to new levels with the inception of “Sports Desk”, recording games as well as live streaming games. His team has offered an exciting twist to the NSA/BPA Hall of Fame banquet with videos and walk-up music.

TJ21 Media Group also records the Indiana NSA HOF Banquet and in 2022 that event was live-streamed. TJ and the media crew have traveled to every NSA/BPA National Convention since 2015 and has traveled from coast to coast producing the “Sports Desk”, live streaming games, recording videos for the HOF, and promoting the NSA Fast and Slow Pitch and BPA brand. TJ serves as a member of the Indiana NSA HOF board. The outreach team he started, Street Kids Care, was inducted into the Indiana NSA Hall of Fame in 2012 and TJ was inducted as a coach in 2014.

TJ and his wife Courtney have seven children and seven grandchildren. The couple loves to travel with their favorite destination being Walt Disney World. They also enjoy time on their boat with friends and family on Lake Michigan.

On November 6, 2024 TJ Jorgensen became the 22nd Meritorious inductee into the
NSA/BPA Hall of Fame as a member of the Class of 2024.
