NSA Hall of Fame: Oak Lawn Park District (2020)

The Oak Lawn Park District has been involved with slow pitch softball for the past 45 seasons and of those have been 100% registered with NSA for the last 22 years. During this time they have registered an average of 190 teams for a total of 4,180 teams which puts them as one of the largest slow pitch leagues under the NSA banner.
The Oak Lawn Park District has been the host of many slow pitch tournaments, which includes 18 straight 16” Men World Series along with many 16” Co-Rec World Series events. In 2013 both the Men and Co-Rec 16” World Series Champions came from their league.
In 2018 they opened a top of the line softball complex with all four fields being lighted.
While recovering from the aftermath of the Covid-19 shutdowns, the Oak Lawn Park District registered 102 Summer teams and 106 Fall teams.
Oak Lawn Park District has also been the host of several NSA Fast Pitch tournaments as well as many BPA Baseball tournaments.
On November 7, 2021 the Oak Lawn Park District was inducted into the NSA Sports Hall of Fame in the Meritorious Category as a member of the 2020 Class.
