NSA Hall of Fame: Shannon Simpson (2003)

Shannon Simpson has played fast pitch softball since the age of 8 years old.  During the 10 years that she has participated in the NSA, she has played in countless tournaments including 8 World Series Tournaments in Florida and along the east coast. 

Shannon attended college on softball scholarship and was able to continue her love of the game.  During her freshmen year in college, she had the opportunity to play in the 2000 Indoor World Cup in Leon, France.  After college, she returned home and was offered a teaching position at a local high school which allowed her to become the assistant high school varsity softball coach.  Shannon is excited about being able to teach the kids her skills and love for the game.

For Shannon’s skill, love and devotion to the game of softball, she became the 1st female player and 7th player overall to be inducted into the NSA Hall of Fame in November 2003.
